A History of “The Simpsons” in Video Games
The Simpsons: Bart vs the Juggernauts

Developer: Imagineering
Publisher: Acclaim Entertainment
Platforms: Game Boy
Release Date: September 1992
In 1992, Imagineering and Acclaim Entertainment released their second Game Boy Simpsons title, Bart vs the Juggernauts. The gameplay features Bart competing through a variety of challenges while performing on the fictional show “The Juggernauts”, which is based on the popular real-world show at the time American Gladiators. Events include basketball, an obstacle course, skateboarding, and fighting challenges. Many of the show’s side characters make an appearance including commentators Kent Brockman and Dr. Marvin Monroe. While not wildly popular critics were alright with this game calling it entertaining at parts and an upgrade from previous Simpson’s Game Boy titles.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
