Enter 2003, and the 22nd Simpsons video game, Hit & Run, which is arguably the greatest game ever to be based on the animated series. Hit & Run is an open world adventure game inspired by the gameplay of Grand Theft Auto III. The sandbox format allows for players to explore Springfield while controlling one of the five playable characters in third person view, with an emphasis on the driving component. The game features an extensive story-mode that was developed in collaboration with show writers and creators. Reviews were favourable for Hit and Run, and it still maintains a popular following. There are even fan groups dedicated to this title, which have created additional fan-made content for the game.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
