Final Shlorpian Liftoff: Solar Opposites Season 6 to Conclude Hulu Series
The countdown is officially on for the final season of Hulu’s wildly inventive and irreverent adult animated comedy, Solar Opposites. The sixth season, confirmed earlier this year as the series’ last, is set to premiere on Monday, October 13, 2025, with all 10 episodes dropping exclusively on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
After five seasons of crash-landing, assimilation attempts, and an unparalleled level of sci-fi chaos, the Shlorpian family—Korvo, Terry, Yumyulack, and Jesse—are finally reaching the end of their mission on Earth.
The final chapter brings perhaps the greatest mortal challenge yet for the alien family: being broke. According to the official synopsis, the family’s alien diamond-making machine is destroyed, forcing the Solar Opposites to face life on a budget.
Korvo (Dan Stevens) and Terry (Thomas Middleditch) will grapple with the realities of thriftiness after years of expensive consumerist habits, forcing them to confront their “true selves.”The season trailer also reveals a meta reference to the show’s conclusion, with Terry explicitly announcing that “the Hulu science monitor just announced this is our final season!”
Amidst the financial chaos, the family must contend with the impending “purge” of Earth, with Korvo ultimately deciding, “We’re going to save the world!”
Perhaps the most highly anticipated element of the final season is the promised conclusion to the sprawling, serialized subplot of “The Wall.”
The epic story of the tiny, shrunken humans living in Yumyulack’s (Sean Giambrone) terrarium has developed into a gripping dystopian drama over the course of the series, mirroring and satirizing the events of the outside world. Executive Producers Mike McMahan and Josh Bycel have stated that the final season features an “epic final adventure” for the tiny people in The Wall, promising a “thrilling and shocking conclusion” to the human society.
