Comedy Central Marks “South Park Day” with All-Day Marathon Ahead of Season 29 Premiere

Comedy Central is celebrating the anniversary of one of television’s most enduring adult animated franchises with an all-day event. On Thursday, August 13, 2026, the network will host an official “South Park Day” marathon, running fan-favorite episodes back-to-back to commemorate the show’s 1997 television debut.

The milestone celebration sets the stage for the highly anticipated premiere of Season 29, which arrives on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 10:00 PM ET/PT on Comedy Central.

Following its linear cable premiere, new episodes will stream globally on Paramount+, with next-day availability for subscribers in the U.S., Canada, and Australia.

Season 29 will follow a bi-weekly release schedule throughout the fall:

  • Episode 1: Wednesday, September 16

  • Episode 2: Wednesday, September 30

  • Episode 3: Wednesday, October 14

  • Episode 4: Wednesday, October 28

  • Episode 5: Wednesday, November 11

Originally created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone after their 1995 viral short The Spirit of Christmas, South Park premiered on August 13, 1997, and is fast approaching its 30th anniversary in 2027.
