“The Simpsons” Did It Again! Predicted Canada National Cannabis Legalization
It’s real.
Canada has made marijuana a national and legal commodity which has already caused a shortage of the sticky bud. Turns out, The Simpsons predicted that Canada would legalize weed long before anyone else did in the episode “Midnight Rx”. If you recall, Ned and Homer head up north where they run into a local resident that looks just like Ned and offers the neighbors a “reefarino”. Ned actually declines the joint, and the two are subsequently banned from Canada, one of many countries of the world in which Homer is banned from entering.
The year 2018 might be considered the year in which The Simpsons pretty much owned social. Everything from memes to controversial characters and everything in between, The Simpsons have proven they are just as much a part of current American lexicon as anything else on television.
The Simpsons will premiere a new episode this Sunday Night @ 8 pm ET/PT, check your local listings. Who knows? Let’s see what kind of predictions are set up for future possible revelations.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
