Genre Bloodshed: OuiDo! Teams with ‘Mars Express’ Producers for Adult Animation Studio, Unveils Horror Film ‘Prudence’

The European adult animation market continues its massive structural expansion. At the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Paris-based animation powerhouse OuiDo! Productions announced a major new joint venture alongside prominent producers Didier Creste and Joé Baudot.

The brand-new, adult-focused production entity—dubbed Everybody On Board—will strictly target the rapidly growing global demand for mature, elevated animated features and serialized content. Wasting no time, the newly minted studio hit the ground running by unveiling its inaugural project: a 100% French-produced animated horror feature titled Prudence.

The Perfect Creative Storm

The formation of Everybody On Board brings together a staggering amount of pedigree from the cutting edge of French adult animation:

  • OuiDo! Productions has built a stellar international reputation for high-quality production pipelines and distinct visual executions.

  • Didier Creste and Joé Baudot are widely celebrated in the industry for producing Mars Express, the critically acclaimed, boundary-pushing sci-fi neo-noir feature that captivated international audiences and critics alike.

By combining their financial and creative resources, the partners aim to streamline the often-difficult development cycle for mature animated content, establishing a reliable, high-end pipeline out of France to service global streaming networks and theatrical distributors.

First Slate Reveal: ‘Prudence’

To cement its creative mission statement, the studio shared details for Prudence, an 80-minute animated horror thriller that is entirely home-grown in France.

The project brings together two of the absolute heaviest hitters behind the landmark mature animated series Lastman. The film will be directed by Jérémie Hoarau, who cut his teeth directing chapters of the acclaimed action saga, and co-written alongside frequent collaborator Laurent Sarfati.

While specific narrative beats are being kept tightly under wraps, the creative team promises an intense, uncompromising horror experience that leverages the fluid kineticism and gritty atmosphere both creators are renowned for. By choosing a strict horror thriller as its calling card, Everybody On Board is sending a clear signal to the industry: they are carving out an identity built on visceral storytelling, complex themes, and bold visual risks that standard family-oriented animation studios simply cannot take.
