All-Star Cast Announced for Animated Sci-Fi Film ‘Slime’
A star-studded cast including Willow Smith, Teyana Taylor, Anna Sawai, John Cho, and John Boyega has been announced for the upcoming animated sci-fi film Slime, which is directed by Jeron Braxton and also stars Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi.
The film, described as an “anime-inspired pre-apocalyptic sci-fi monster flick with retro video-game aesthetics,” is set in a near-future dystopian world. Willow Smith will voice the lead character, Muna, an optimistic but broke young woman who joins a paid clinical trial. She is injected with a mysterious creature’s slime, which gives her destructive powers she cannot control. On the run, she kidnaps the lab worker who injected her, Glenn (voiced by Kid Cudi), and they embark on a journey to find a cure.
Kid Cudi is also providing the original score and soundtrack for the movie. The project is being produced by Hammerstone Studios, Script 2 Screen, and Capstone Pictures, along with Kid Cudi’s Mad Solar.
Update 11/6: Winston Duke & LaKeith Stanfield have joined the cast.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
