In 2009, EA brought back The Simpsons in side-scrolling adventure for an exclusive iOS mobile game. The Simpsons Arcade closely resembles the 1991 The Simpsons arcade game, but with newer graphics and original story. The game follows Homer who accidentally comes across a USB drive with plans on it to destroy “all of the world’s resources or whatever”. Although Homer seems more interested in finding doughnuts. Reception for The Simpsons Arcade was generally positive praising the resurgence of the classic style gameplay.

Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
