English Dub Review: My Hero Academia: Vigilantes “Event Announcement!”

Overview:

Pop receives a request to perform at an upcoming local event, and she finds herself in need of guidance.

Our Take:

Knuckleduster has suddenly become more interesting. He has a wife who’s very sick and a daughter whom he’s looking for currently. Hachisuka, the bee girl, attacked his wife, so he’s trying to track her down. The way he’s approaching it is one of the more fascinating aspects. He’s using Soga and his friends to get information on Hachisuka. But it seems like he’s also using Koichi and Pop, which is pretty messed up. I don’t think he’s expecting them to get hurt badly or anything, but he is using them as bait, so I hope that he changes his tune on that front.

Meanwhile, Pop has received an invitation to do a local event, and it could be big for her “career”. She asks for some help on making the decision on whether she should do the event or not, and Koichi isn’t the most helpful of people. He brings in Makoto to help, and since she’s essentially running Captain Celebrity’s group, she is the best person to ask. Pop manages to get over her jealousy to work with her, and I hope the event goes as planned with no issues, but let’s be honest, that probably won’t happen.
