Review: Star Wars Rebels: The Ultimate Guide

Star Wars Rebels: The Ultimate Guide gave us absolutely nothing new in regards to season two. However, what The Ultimate Guide did accomplish is give us a Dragon Ball Z Abridged take on the entirety of season one. If you managed to get on late, this was the special for you. When you look at it, this was a great cut of the entire season, focusing on Ezra’s journey from street rat to Jedi Padawan, to Jedi.

Unfortunately, that was it. Not even any of the commercials showed anything for season two, and that’s a bit disappointing. I thought with the news of season two’s hour long special coming in June, this would be the perfect time to debut any footage. Hell, I would have settle for a minute of the greatest asthmatic known to any and all galaxies, Darth Vader.

However, with this type of special, you have to ask yourself one question. Do I think that someone who hasn’t seen season one of Star Wars Rebels would be caught up? I do. All of the major stories were glanced over, while giving a Spark Notes version of the plot. So, this was the perfect catch up moment. It just fails in getting any sort of hype for season two.
