English Dub Review: KADO: The Right Answer “Towanosakiwa'”

This week, we kick off the episode with about five or so minutes of trippy visuals followed by a Tsukai backstory. We learn a little bit about her background and her overprotective father. Fast forward to today, and ZaShunina’s talking all sorts of trash about moving the human race into the anisotropic which leads to Shindo getting on the wrong end of a dispute. As a result, Tsukai helps Shindo escape, and as time goes on, ZaShunina appears to be second-guessing himself about his intentions.

Our Take

It’s fun watching Tsukai wrestle with a godlike complex all the while trying her best to have a human relationship. Together with marvelous visuals and compelling dialogue, Kado: The Right Answer cooks up an important episode that sets up some fascinating questions in upcoming episodes. The backstory didn’t exactly answer most of the questions presented with Tsukai’s character, but I’m a bit more interested in the stuff that’s on the way versus filling in any plot holes.
