English Dub Review: Yowayowa Sensei “A Weak and Wimpy Jump Rope Tournament”

Overview:

Hiyori is bound and determined to help her students win the sports day jump rope contest. Unfortunately for her, keeping up proves harder than expected.

Our Take(Spoilers):

I’m going to miss having a show that was guaranteed to show me some anime titties. If I remember right, the first episode was pretty tame when it came to that stuff. Then, in episode two, we got to see a nipple, and then from there on out, it was open season for nudity. I love nudity as much as anyone, but I do like it to be in service to some sort of story. Most of the nudity in this show serves no purpose other than “hey, here’s some titties!”

I’ve also never once in my life heard of a jump-roping tournament. From what I could tell, this was basically a sports festival, but everyone kept focusing on the damn jump rope! Now that I think about it, maybe that’s the purpose all the titties serve in this story. Everyone is focused on the jump rope because Hiyori has huge knockers, and everyone wants to see them bouncing around.

I’m joking, but if I’m being honest, I could see that being the case. Mizuki once again showed some of her jealous side and managed to get tied up with Abikura. Yukishita was surprised when she was called upon for the cavalry battle but managed to get the best of Mizuki there. Mizuki is a monster when it comes to sports; I wish there was some sort of explanation for her monstrous strength and speed.

One of the characters that surprised me the most was Kuguri. We know her as the perverted head of the photography club, but apparently most of the school thinks she’s the cool type. She seemed a lot cooler than we’ve seen her, and apparently she’s more athletic than we knew. She dominated in her race, and it made me think that Kuguri was one character that didn’t get much characterization. Heck, in a show where characterization equals showing your tits, she only did that once or twice.

The biggest issue for me with this episode was how much of a nothing burger it ended up being. This was the last episode of the season? Nothing happened! I guess you could argue that Hiyori didn’t realize she proposed to Abikura in a roundabout way. All I know is that, other than seeing titties, I’m not sure if I’m gonna miss this one.
