Marvel Animation Teases ‘X-Men ’97’ Season 2 with High-Octane “Roll Call” Trailer

Marvel Animation has officially dialed up the hype for the return of its critically acclaimed revival series, dropping a brand-new teaser titled X-Men ’97 Season 2 | Roll Call. The action-packed teaser locks in a summer release date, confirming the mutants will be streaming exclusively on Disney+ starting July 1.

The one-minute teaser functions as a stylized roster showcase, re-introducing fans to the sprawling team of mutants and setting up a monumental clash with one of Marvel’s most iconic villains.

A Growing Mutant Lineup

The trailer kicks off with Wolverine’s classic bravado, declaring, “We’re back, baby,” before launching into a rapid-fire sequence of title cards. The “Roll Call” highlights both the core survivors of Season 1 and a massive ensemble of returning and newly prominent mutants.

Among the heroes flashing across the screen are Jean Grey, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Morph, Rogue, Wolverine, Storm, and Jubilee. However, the roster expands significantly, featuring a powerhouse lineup of heavy hitters and fan favorites including:

The ancient mutant villain takes center stage in a flurry of battle sequences, showcasing his immense physical power and shapeshifting armaments. Brandishing a massive arm-drill and deflecting psychic and magnetic attacks with an energy shield, Apocalypse leaves the team with a chilling promise: “I will be all that is left.”
