English Dub Review: Agents of the Four Seasons “Assault”

Overview

Ishihara holds Rosei and Itecho at gunpoint, revealing her own past and the full scope of Kasai’s attack.

Our Take

Picking up from the previous episode, the devastating truth behind Hinagiku’s captivity is finally revealed, showing the unimaginable trauma that shaped the person she is today. As the Agency comes under attack and the race to rescue Nadeshiko intensifies, Rosei, Itecho, Sakura, and the others push forward while new revelations about Ishihara and Kasai add even more urgency to the unfolding conflict.

This was by far the series’ most emotionally devastating episode. Hinagiku’s backstory is handled with heartbreaking weight, making her struggles feel tragically real while reinforcing the themes of trauma, resilience, and the importance of those who refuse to give up on you. While the emotional performances, symbolism, and atmosphere were outstanding, I can do without some of the episode’s darker subject matter, and the melodrama pushed the story further than necessary…

Overall, this is a powerful turning point that raises the emotional stakes while setting the stage for the final chapters. It’s a gripping and emotionally charged episode that, while not without its flaws, delivers some of the season’s strongest character moments and dramatic storytelling. With just two episodes remaining, the anticipation for how everything will conclude has never been higher.
