The Rick and Morty multiverse is expanding yet again, and this time, the spotlight belongs entirely to the White House. Adult Swim has officially debuted the first trailer and a batch of new images for President Curtis, a brand-new adult animated comedy spin-off centered on the fearless, deeply narcissistic leader of the free world.
The major announcement dropped during the show’s world premiere screening at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Co-creators and Rick and Morty executive producers Dan Harmon and James Siciliano took the stage alongside Emmy Award-winning actor Keith David to reveal that the series will officially premiere on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT.
To maximize the block’s momentum, the premiere will air on Adult Swim immediately following the Rick and Morty season finale, with episodes landing on HBO Max the following day.

The debut trailer establishes a distinct visual and operational tone for the spin-off, leaning heavily into a mix of high-stakes government bureaucracy and X-Files-style paranormal investigations. Backed by a stellar voice cast, Keith David is joined by Stephanie Beatriz and Jim Rash as members of his deeply stressed inner circle.
According to Adult Swim leadership, the spin-off purposefully carves out its own identity away from the shadow of the garage lab. While the administration has access to top-tier, highly classified government technology, the gear is deliberately grounded and entirely separate from Rick’s reality-bending inventions. This allows the show to dive much deeper into the backstories of the White House staff, including recurring military and security personnel.
