English Dub Review: Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty “Lady Version: I Know You Can Do Way Better Than That/ Rock Version: I Wanna Rock Out With Them Again”
Overview (Spoilers Below):
Tempers flare after a crushing defeat, but not for the expected reason. Tamaki finally understands why Otoha chose Lilisa over her and has an important decision to make.
Our Take:
Lilisa and the others really brought the house down with their live performance, much to my admiration. However, because of the audience’s shocked reaction, they thought it wasn’t enough to win the battle of the bands. But, it looks like that isn’t the case, as Tamaki finally realized the potential Otoha saw in Lilisa’s guitar skills and aggressive state. For that, I say thank goodness that she came to her senses because I was about to continue throwing some shade on Otoha’s childhood friend.
As a result, Tamaki is now officially the fourth and final member of the newly-formed band. However, it also revealed a different side of Tamaki’s antagonistic personality. The reason is that she’s now eager to be verbally berated by Otoha, as her childhood friend did to Lilisa, highlighting the show’s S&M elements in which the characters chastise each other. Of course, Tamaki isn’t the only person who has changed because of the battle of the bands; Tina also gained the confidence to try equestrian lessons.
These are some of the elements that occurred in the aftermath of the battle of the bands competition, as we’re winding down to the season’s final episodes. Aside from the flawed vocal performances, the episode suitably emphasized the characters’ development in weird yet heartfelt ways amid their rock n roll mayhem. Of course, the most surprising piece of development is Tamaki, who’s revealed to be the president of Kuroyuri’s tea ceremony club, continuing the show’s tradition of showcasing the characters’ facade to hide their heavy metal personas. What other obstacles will come their way in the upcoming final episodes of the season? Only time will tell now that the band has fully formed.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
