English Dub Review: The Beginning After the End “The King’s Decision”
Overview
An encounter with Cynthia, the head of Xyrus Academy, helps Arthur come to a decision.
Our Take
This time around, Arthur finds himself standing at the edge of a life-changing decision after a fateful encounter with a powerful figure. Rather than follow the traditional path, he chooses a road less traveled. One that promises growth through experience, risk, and personal resolve. With the support of trusted allies and careful negotiation, his journey begins not in a classroom but in the wider, more unpredictable world.
Armed with mysterious new tools and guidance from those who believe in him, the boy takes his first steps into a much larger role. Along the way, he uncovers strange artifacts, builds key relationships, and faces the quiet challenges of preparing for what lies ahead. Though much of the episode is devoted to setup, it deepens our understanding of the choices that define him and the people who shape his future.
Overall, this episode functions as a calm but meaningful turning point—less about action and more about preparation, choices, and growing independence. It focuses on Arthur stepping into a larger world, slowly shifting from prodigy to hero. While not filled with dramatic twists, the episode lays the emotional and narrative groundwork for bigger events to come, leaving the door open for the final episode coming next week!

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
