English Dub Review: Delico’s Nursery “Battle Amidst Flames”
Overview:
After discovering who the parents of the lost children are, Kiki gathers the members of Pendulum for an assault on Johannes’s manor and absconds with both the children and the lord of the house.
Our Take:
I take back what I said about Kiki being a good person. After realizing whose children she had just helped she decided to tell her bad guy buddies and they launched an attack on the house. I can’t say that I’m surprised this happened but it looked like we were going to get some nuance to the villains and instead, they’re just bad. But some other revelations happened that could be quite interesting moving forward.
One of the members of Pendulum is a dhampir, a human/vampire hybrid. This lets us know that humans exist in this world, which I have been trying to figure out for a while. I’m intrigued by the second half of this show because I don’t know why they would introduce a dhampir if they aren’t planning on bringing humans into the show. I do wonder where they could be because normally vampires feed on humans but in this, they have been eating normal food like we would. Seeing a bunch of villains have to be babysitters was pretty funny but I hope that Deli can rescue the kids soon.
