English Dub Review: The Aristocrat’s Otherworldly Adventure: Serving Gods Who Go Too Far “The Royal Academy”
Overview:
Cain takes his Royal Academy entrance exam.
Our Take:
It’s time for Cain to take the Royal Academy entrance exam. He certainly makes an interesting first impression. He finishes his written exam before anyone else, causes massive property damage during the magic portion, and gets into a brutal duel with Claude during the swordsmanship exam. For someone who wants to keep his status a secret, he clearly does not know how to go about doing so.
Unsurprisingly, Cain passes the exam with flying colors. He winds up in the same class as Teles and Silk. His friend Parma is in the academy as well and Cain even helps her out when she’s being bullied by some familiar nobles.
This episode is fine, but it reminds me of why I’m not a big fan of certain characters. Cain might be powerful, but he’s not that bright. He lacks common sense and it shows here. He wants to keep how powerful he is a secret, but he continues to openly show his strength. I don’t understand the point of him wanting to keep everything a secret at this point. Teles and Silvia continue to be annoying, but they’re not unbearable in this episode. At least Silvia is here to balance everything out. I always enjoy seeing her over the top reactions and that doesn’t change here.
The ending is intriguing at the very least. Someone knows the complete truth about Cain and I’m curious to see where this will go. It has the potential to be the most interesting part of the show so far, so I’m actually anticipating the next episode.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
