Cyanide & Happiness Producers To Introduce “The Stockholms”
Explosm (creators of Cyanide and Happiness, Joking Hazard, Purgatony, Freakpocalypse) have partnered with animation studio Octopie (Magic: The Gathering, Paranormal Action Squad, Celebrity Animal Encounters) for their new show The Stockholms, a hostage situation comedy airing exclusively on Octopie’s YouTube channel. The series follows a goofball bank robber who spends months in a bank with his captive loving “family”, all thanks to a pushover negotiator. If you’re a fan of the genre-challenging humor behind Cyanide and Happiness, then you’ll LOVE this new show!
The new animated web series is debuting this Thursday, July 30th and you can watch a trailer below.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
