Adult Swim Promotes Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law Creator To President As It Should Be

Harvey Bridman: Attorney At Law co-creator Michael Ouweleen has been promoted to President of Adult Swim.

Mike’s going to be managing every facet of the network. Everything from development to marketing and everything in between and it’s at an important time in the network. The slate of new and original programming is super strong, but what will the Adult Swim brand mean on HBO MAX? So far, it looks like HBO MAX is doing a more of a Netflix model of acquiring adult animated series rather than Hulu’s who appears to be branding content according to established channels i.e. FX on Hulu.

HBO MAX has it’s own impressive slate of upcoming original animated series, and Adult Swim has Rick and Morty to go along with a swell of original series that are probably still trying to build up it’s reputation (aside from Venture Bros. and Squidbillies). With Mike’s escalation, we get a bunch of the creative eye that Mike Lazzo had but none of the baggage.
