The Simpsons All Growed Up
How many episodes have we already seen where The Simpsons are all grown up and older and doing something else? It’s got to be at least a dozen or so by now, yea? So, why not a show centered all around the kids and adults at later stages in their lives where Lisa is the President, Bart is probably just Homer, and Maggie is talking in full English language. With the recent passing of Russi Taylor, it’s time to start thinking about the future of a franchise that may not have all of it’s dependable voices on this planet and I’m NOT in the camp of replacement actors for classic characters. Doing something like this down the road solves both of those issues.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
