Finn & Jake Return to Ooo as Adventure Time: Side Quests Season 2 Hits Disney+ & Hulu on October 2

Finn the Human and Jake the Dog are diving right back into chaotic fantasy escapades. Cartoon Network Studios and Disney have released the official trailer for Adventure Time: Side Quests Season 2, locking in a premiering date of October 2, 2026 for Disney+ and Hulu in the U.S.

International audiences won’t have to wait long either, as the new season makes its broadcast rollout on Cartoon Network starting October 5.

Unfiltered Silliness & Classic Ooo Energy

Continuing the momentum of its summer premiere, Side Quests recaptures the vibrant, episodic charm of early-season Adventure Time. Rather than focusing on heavy multi-season lore, the series doubles down on low-stakes, high-energy detours across the Land of Ooo.

According to the official synopsis, Season 2 sees the heroic duo tackling everything from wrestling giant toads and clashing with baby gladiators to accidentally entangling themselves in way too many rogue magical spells.

Returning Voice Legends & Heavyweight Crew

The series brings back a stacked ensemble of classic Franchise voices alongside key new talent:

  • Sasha Knight as Finn the Human

  • John DiMaggio as Jake the Dog

  • Tom Kenny as Ice King

  • Niki Yang as BMO

  • Hynden Walch as Princess Bubblegum

  • Olivia Olson as Marceline the Vampire Queen

Behind the camera, two-time Emmy nominee Nate Cash (Tiny Toons Looniversity, Animaniacs)—who originally served as storyboard supervisor on the flagship Adventure Time series—continues as showrunner and executive producer.

Joining Cash on the Season 2 creative team are supervising director Victor Courtright (ThunderCats Roar), alongside directors Niki Yang, Rose Feduk, and Katie Aldworth. Art director Nick Cross (The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie) and composer Matthew Janszen also return to keep Ooo’s visual style and soundtrack as sharp and surreal as ever.
