A History of “The Simpsons” in Video Games
The Itchy & Scratchy Game

Developer: Bits Studios
Publisher: Acclaim Entertainment
Platforms: SNES, Sega Game Gear
Release Date: 1995
The second Itchy and Scratchy game was released for the SNES and Sega Game Gear in 1995. Where Itchy and Scratchy in Miniature Golf Madness featured Scratchy as the only playable character, The Itchy and Scratchy Game follows Itchy. The goal is to guide the mouse through the side-scrolling levels while attempting to murder Scratchy. As fun as that sounds, The Itchy and Scratchy Game was generally met with negative reviews. GamePro went as far as to say “if the video game industry ever comes crashing down, Itchy and Scratchy will be near the top of the ‘Blame Us’ list.” Considering the video game industry is thriving almost 25 years later, I guess the game couldn’t have been that bad.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
