Reddit AMA Recap: Amber Nash reveals extent of ‘Archer’ Delay

We’ve been hearing rumors of a delay in the starts for Archer Season Seven and Cassius Clay, and now it seems as though we have confirmation. Amber Nash aka the voice of Pam on Archer stopped by Reddit for an AMA (read the whole thing here. ), and not only did we grab highlights, but we now have a premiere time frame for when both shows should air on FXX:

Why did Archer and Pam stop hooking up?

Heh, the cop’s name is Grace Hart, hence the Hart. Thanks for watching. I hope you enjoy it! I think Pam and Archer stopped having sex cause he couldn’t handle it and cause they are better as friends.

On how Pam has changed over the years.

 

I just read the pilot script again for the first time in years and when Pam is introduced it says Pam (the mousy director of HR)! Isn’t that insane. I think she evolved because there was room for a character like Pam, I think Adam like writing strong female characters and I think he got to know me better and started writing with me in mind.

I still think that Pam has a big heart, I think she started standing up for herself and not taking shit from the others and giving it back better than anyone. In the end, I think if any of the characters had to pick who they thought actually cared for them, they’d say Pam. In the future, I’d love to see her in a relationship with someone for a few episodes that could be really fun! Or more Poovey Farms!

I got so lucky that the character developed into someone so awesome. I think Adam saw that Pam could be so much crazier and went for it and knew I could go there. Being the voice of Pam has made me really appreciate that she is a sex symbol in a new and unexpected way and it’s really amazing and awesome.

On who she has connected with on the show

I was scared of Aisha because she’s so tall and pretty and successful and smart and now we are great friends. She is so wonderful and works so hard.

On doing the Archer Live shows

I loved doing the live shows. They were drunken good times and none of the people we ever got on stage from the audience were bad, everyone did great. But this one time…we hired a “model” in every town that looked like Archer to do a bit at the beginning of the show and I think we were in Philadelphia and the guy we got was probably the stupidest person I’ve ever met but god bless him he looked like Archer probably more than any of the models we got in other towns. He got so drunk that he passed out in the green room right in front of the door so after the show none of us could get into the green room. It was a hilarious mess.

On what shows she would like to guest on in the future

I’d love to do Bob’s Burgers or Simpsons or South Park or the Flintstones is they ever remake it!

On when Season Seven of Archer will premiere

Coming in March!

This would be the first time in Archer’s history that the show would be airing in the latter half of Q1 whereas usually get kick off around January. This delay would certainly explain not only having a San Diego Comic Con panel with nothing new to show, but a total skippage of New York Comic Con.
