Home of Late ‘Simpsons’ Co-creator Hits Market for $18 Million – with all the Proceeds Going to Charity!
Sam Simon, the late co-creator of The Simpsons and renowned philanthropist, just keeps on giving.
Simon’s former Pacific Palisades, California home has hit the market for a whopping $18 million, and all the money will be donated to charity.
The mansion, built in 1948, measures 2,000 square feet – on a 1.5 acre lot that actually contains two houses – and was designed by renowned modernist architect Richard Neutra. Neutra once lived in one of the homes.
Simon originally bought it for $3.95 million, and later had architecture and construction firm Marmol Radziner modify it.
After Simon’s original home was damaged in a 2007 fire, he replaced it with an eco-friendly structure adjacent to the Neutra house.
