Star Wars Rebels: Season One DVD/Blu-Ray release announced!

Set to release shortly before the probable premier date of Star Wars Rebels season two proper, Star Wars Rebels season one will be available on DVD and Blu-Ray. The complete first season will be available on September 1st with a price tag of about $40 for the DVD and $46 for the Blu-Ray.

With costs that high, Disney better sure as fuck load up on the special features. We don’t know what those are yet, nor do we have any cover art, but we do have a synopsis for the release:

Against the might of the Galactic Empire, an unlikely band of heroes emerges to renew the fight for freedom. Five years before the events of STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE, the reigning evil Empire continues to tighten its grip of power and fear throughout the cosmos. But even amidst the tyranny and oppression of these dark days, a glimmer of light emerges…
