REVIEW: CHOZEN “Boy’s Night”

You're not gonna...
You’re not gonna…

WARNING: SPOILAZ BELOW

This week’s Chozen was aite.

Maybe I would have enjoyed it more if I was a gay dude, seeing as the plot was heavy on said gayness. While I was watching this episode I did a lot of “I wonder how accurate this is” and also the occasional “yeah, that’s probably how it is” seeing as I know very little about the gay social scene.

Maybe this episode just pushed the envelope a little further than my sensibilities were ready for– and I’m an honest enough dude to admit that.

Hey, it’s all good – be gay, be not gay – don’t matter to me brah-brah – I just might be a little lost here and there.

Are there actual gay homeys on this writing staff? Very curious. Somebody better be (laughs to self) or there is a shit ton of straight dudes writing about dude love and that would be very interesting indeed.

Enough sexuality preference discussion, let’s talk plot.

The main plot story here boiled down to being about Chozen’s relationship with whats-his-face-bro, and relationship drama ish just bores this brotha. Scott, Skyler, Chad? I can’t remember that dudes name and I refuse to google it. Either way, after a spat in a sheik gay glub, they went splittsville. Yup.

I know what they were trying to do here, the meat and potatoes of the plot, I get it- but like – I just really didn’t care very much. I’m a fairly straight and narrow comedy guy (no pun intended) so when things get a bit on the mushy side, I start tuning out. Immature? Probably. BUT GOD DAMMNIT THIS IS AMERICA AND THAT’S MY RIGHT.

There was a decent-to-not-decent rap song in here too.

Ricky is always funny, Crisco not so much.

And now I’m bored of writing this. CATCH YALL FOOLS NEXT WEEK.
