Shorts Review: Mario + Seinfeld = A Match Made In Heaven!

Mario is a giver. Let’s face it, the dude battled through land, sea, air, and friggin space to save this princess only to always find out that she’s in another castle. At what point do you just say, “Fuck it. I’m going to Quizno’s?” So to see Mario juxtaposed over Jerry Seinfeld really gives him a bit more of a humane quality. Everyone either is, or knows, a Jerry. Super nice, naïve, but would do anything to help out but somehow ends up getting a bit of an awkward raw deal. I really like how they were able to weave a Mario story line into a Seinfeld based short. The animation style is a bit too “Veggie Tales” for me, but that’s just be being a snot and enjoying a more hand drawn style over all others. But I have to admit that the animation does flow really well and adds a great touch to an equally great idea. If this were to become a short series, I know I’d be hooked for sure!
