Spoilers Below

Mickey’s running late to see Minnie, but his ears are acting silly. He tries to straighten them out, but instead burns his eyes with hair spray. Eventually, the ears get blown out the window and now Mickey’s gotta find them WITHOUT his hearing. He runs into Goofy, borrows his ears, and finds out his ears are at a hockey game. Of course, Mickey ends up getting PLASTERED, so now he has to join the game in order to grab his ears and reattach them. Mickey shows up to his date with Minnie..the Opera.

To be honest, I couldn’t agree more with Mr. Mouse….the Opera is terrible. Thankfully, we had an entertaining and wildly original short leading to the ending. My personal favorite part was the ingenious idea for Mickey to be deaf without his ears as I thought it provided a different dynamic that helped give the evening a nice break between the two action-packed specials. Hockey may live on NBC Sports, but Disney Channel is Mickey’s house.
