 Spoilers Below

Cleveland’s celebrating the fact that its his anniversary for giving everything up and play for the Dodgers! To help, Donna opts to hook him up with a scout job for the team which means everyone gets up to move to Hollywood. Cleveland isn’t crazy about the job though because its nowhere near the stadium and he is constantly belittled. It doesn’t get much better either, especially after he tries his hand at wooing other players currently contracted with different ball clubs, as this gets him sent down to basically becoming a nobody.

Junior loves Hollywood, but Rallo isn’t crazy about it….that is until he is able to land a job as one of the paparazzo. Its here Junior becomes a street hero and rallies the others to help fight crime in Downtown while Rallo starts to stalk the red carpets looking for the best shots.

Roberta and Donna are checking out the local community like the cliche’d TV high school, and Whole Foods is where parents go to not be parents at all.  Its here Donna creates the alter-ego ‘Old MacDonna’ of whom is set to act as a children’s entertainer for sweet, sweet cash! Donna loves the gig, and she soon starts up a money making corporation and despite her husband now wanting to go home, she refuses. All the kids are crazy now, too so Cleveland heads home and Skypes a call reminding the whole crew of what they are missing. And guess what? It was all a rig! Turns out, the Browns’ neighbor Gina helped put it together and we are almost back to Stoolbend! But, only after Cleveland rips L. A. a new one!

What a great idea! Send the WHOLE family to LA and have at it! None too dissimilar to the numerous times Homer and the Simpsons hang out in NYC, the Brown-Tubbs show a pretty hysterical mirror to all the people whom to move to LA in an effort to try and make it. And coming from a guy who is constantly telling people to keep their day jobs, this week’s Cleveland offered a fine moral to all of the different walks of life you see in LA. That said, I do think there were one too many plots going on and as a result it was hard for me to invest in anyone character to root for. As a result, when everyone was ready to go home I didn’t feel any major loss when really the opposite should happen. The twist ending had a nice touch, and Old MacDonna looked like it could have been a lot of fun if we had seen more of it, but the point shines through and hopefully there are others out there takin’ note whom might be inclined to try and ‘make it;. The guest stars really came by for a cup of coffee and were somewhat of a let down when you consider how much press was going about for them. That said, this was the better of the two episodes tonight.
