‘FAMILY GUY’ SHOWRUNNER STATES CASE FOR EMMYS WITH GOLDDERBY.COM

Remember a few weeks back when the producers of Family Guy put together an advertisement that didn’t go over so well with some of the press(naturally I thought it was hysterical). Welp, recently Media Awards Blog GoldDerby.com spoke with Family Guy showrunner Steve Callahan where he offered up his thoughts on the controversy surrounding the campaign:
“We were so thrilled when people took a look at the show and really came at it with an open mind and realised that just because it’s an animated show doesn’t mean that it’s not also a comedy and should be judged by the same standards as some really great shows.”
Again, I don’t care much about the Emmy’s but there it is…more fall out.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
