English Dub Adaptation of “A Silent Voice” In The Works
However, there’s no release timetable just yet.
Anime Limited has noted in a newswire that their newest theatrical release, A Silent Voice will only be available with English subtitles, but that won’t be for long. In a recent podcast, the company’s president HAS CONFIRMED that an English dub adaptation of the film is being produced and will be a part of the home release which, as of now, does not have a release date.
In A Silent Voice, Shoya is a bully. When Shoko, a girl who can’t hear, enters his elementary school class, she becomes his favorite target, and Shoya and his friends goad each other into devising new tortures for her. But the children’s cruelty goes too far. Shoko is forced to leave the school, and Shoya ends up shouldering all the blame. Six years later, the two meet again. Can Shoya make up for his past mistakes, or is it too late?
The website promises to update on news on a home release for A Silent Voice just as soon as they get it.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
