Vevo launches new animated series ‘A.K.A.’
Vevo is one of Youtube’s largest and most popular channels specializing usually in the promotion of music that has officially killed the likes of MTV and VH1. However, now the brand wants to go beyond music videos and merchandise as just the other day the network has revealed a bunch of new original programming including a new animated series.
The show is new, however the premise you’ve seen before. A.K.A. is an animated series recounting stories about how music groups and musicians got their names with episodes streaming already featuring Iggy Azalea, Future and Neon Trees with more episodes on the way starring G-Eazy, Avicii, Common, T.I. and many more.
Here’s hoping we get some death metal shit featuring the likes of Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, and others.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
