This Week In Obituaries: Dale Baer
Legendary animator Dale Baer has passed away at the age of 70 on January 15th. The longtime Disney animator has worked on stellar projects like Lord of the Rings with Ralph Bakshi, and was even part of the production crew for the upcoming Bob’s Burgers: The Movie slated to release sometime in April.
Ralph who had worked with Dale, had this to say,
Dale Baer was one of the finest animators I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. On “Lord of the Rings”, all of the toughest and hardest scenes, and personality scenes, went to him – especially on Aragorn and Gandalf. We spent many hours talking about his days animating at Disney. He loved his work, he loved animation, and he had nothing bad to say about anyone. I kept in touch with him personally to the very end. We’re going to miss him.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
