Russell Simmons & AwesomenessTV team up to bring you “All Def Digital”

 

 

I really don’t know a whole heck of a lot about Russell Simmons except for the fact that he started Def Jam records a label a company that teamed up with Island Records to create Island/Def Jam a name that would help distro one of my favorite rock bands growing up Saliva. However, Saliva has since seen all of its members pretty much leave the band and as a result I really haven’t kept up with the label due to the fact that I don’t listen to hip hop.

That said, Russell is one of the most successful names in Hip Hop so when I heard that he was starting a new Youtube channel I jumped at the chance to check it out and from the looks of it some of the shows on there look REALLY promising. Turns out Russell teamed up with Awesomeness TV to bring us ‘All Def Digital’. On that channel we are getting two new animated series, ‘B-Rock’ and ‘Counterfit.’ Here are synopses and trailers about the two new shows:

 

B-Rock: Follows an outrageous, irreverent, and hilarious spin on the Obama White House, B-ROCK chronicles the adventures of our 44th President’s eponymously-named super-alter ego. Leading the Free World isn’t an easy task. And while diplomacy is preferred, sometimes the President needs to put down his ego-suppressing Cool cigarettes and get “gangsta,” transforming into the trash-talking, butt-kicking, doorag-wearing gangsta, B-ROCK. No pundit, politician, or terrorist is safe from his wrath…
