Review: The Loud House “Snow Way Out ; Snow Way Down”

Loooooong waaaay doowwwwwn.

Overview (Spoilers Below)

Snow Way Out

Racecar driver Bobbi Fletcher is in town to help promote a contest at Burpin’ Burger where the person who finds a special burger wrapper will be part of her pit crew. Lana gets the wrapper but has to trade it with Flip so that the Louds can get out o a snowed in fast food restaurant before everyone freezes. Fortunately, on the way home, Flip and the kids run into Bobbi who is stuck on the side of her road. After Lana fixes it and gets Bobbi goin, the little Loud lady gets a business card and an offer to work for Bobbi when she grows up.

Snow Way Down

Lincoln, Clyde, and Clyde’s dads head into a log cabin in the snowy woods to enjoy sledding, snowball fights, and whatever else kids do these days when they frolick in the snow. Unfortunately, Clyde’s dads are a bit too overprotective and it gets so bad that Clyde sneaks off to rebel against his family, so everyone else has to chase after him and convince him not to sleigh down a crazy hill. Everyone decides to just slide down together, and then Clyde’s dads try to loosen up a bit.

Our Take

Both episodes were rather cliched and have been done before in terms of their respective premises, as a matter of fact, “Snow Way Out” I think was almost tick for tack the same thing as “Mall of Duty”, however, I liked the latter episode a lot better.

“Snow Way Down” was quite a bit better. Yea, I know, we’ve done a bunch of “beware the mountain” third acts in kids animated TV, but the ways in which Clyde’s dads kept overreacting was a lot of fun. Plus, I much prefer episodes of The Loud House when characters are given to us in more concise offerings because it allows us to spend more time with the characters. Clyde’s dads are a bunch of fun, and Michael McDonald and Wayne Brady are awesome in their roles as Howard and Harold respectively.
