Report: Hulu Updates “MODOK.”
While Tigra & Dazzler is going through some rough patches, Comicbook.com is hearing that Patton Oswalt and Hulu appear to be doing just fine with MODOK. Here’s what Hulu exec Craig Erwich had to say about the upcoming series.
“I have seen quite a few episodes of MODOK, which I’m really excited about,” said Erwich. “Patton Oswalt is a lifelong Marvel fan and was obsessed with the character of MODOK. So, for him to finally get his hands on that character and for he and Jordan Blum to do what they always wanted to do with it, which is a whole new take and a very funny one, on what it means to be a comic book villain is really special. I’m excited to see that.”
M.O.D.O.K. centers around an egomaniacal supervillain with a really big head and a really little body, who struggles to maintain control of his evil organization and his demanding family. Writers Jordan Blum and Patton Oswalt will also executive produce.
Our Take
It’s not surprising that of all the people that has their show in order, Patton Oswalt is the one. The guy has been around so many cartoons as a voice actor that he’s probably on top of this like it’s nobody’s business. All this despite Disney buying Hulu, Marvel TV Studios effectively being shut down, and the aforementioned troubles regarding other Marvel animated IP.

Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
