Preview of Studio Ghibli’s next movie’s English dub.
A trailer for The Tale of the Princess Kaguya was release on iTunes Monday.
The newest movie from the studio famous for Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and Ponyo is directed by Isao Takahata. It is based off of an old Japanese folktale titled Taketori Monogatari (The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter), which centers on a princess named Kaguya who was discovered as a baby inside the stalk of a glowing bamboo plant.
The movies English language dub stars Chloë Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass) as well as James Caan, Mary Steenburgen, Darren Criss, Lucy Liu, Beau Bridges, James Marsden, Oliver Platt and Dean Cain and will premire in North American theaters October 17.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
