Did “The Simpsons” Predict “Toys “R” Us” Closing?
You be the judge.
Did The Simpsons’ crystal ball accurately predict another major event in American history? This most recent case involves the nationwide liquidation of Toys “R” Us, and all of it’s stores closing possibly mirroring an episode entitled “Marge vs Singles, Seniors, Childless Couples and Teens, and Gays,” which saw the adults of Springfield turn on “child-like” things and featured a quick scene where Moe turned the “R” around on the “Toys “R” Us” building in a fit of anger and rage.
The premise of the episode involved Marge who decries a movement that favors a school-tax exemption for Springfield’s childless residents. The episode premiered during the 15th season of The Simpsons. Watch a clip from the episode in question below and make the call for yourself!
Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
