Jon Hamm To Guest-Star In Special Airing of “Spongebob Squarepants”
Bunsen’s got some company…
Not only are we getting a special sneak peek airing of Bunsen is a Beast, but on February 20th, Nickelodeon will be premiering a new episode of Spongebob Squarepants entitled “Goodbye, Krabby Patty?”. In it, Jon Hamm will guest star as “Jon Grouper”, and yes we’re getting a sort of animated parody of the actor’s best known as Mad Men in the opening credits.
According to EW who broke the story, Grouper’s firm is hired by Mr. Krabs to help sell his frozen Krabby Patties. The episode airs on February 20th @ 7 pm ET/PT, check your local listings.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
