Animated ‘Vixen’ gets official description
Set to stream six episodes this fall on CW Seed, the animated adaptation of DC Comics’ Vixen now has an official description and we even have notes about the stellar voice cast. Here’s the synopsis:
Originally from Africa, Mari McCabe’s parents were killed by local greed, corruption, and wanton violence. But the orphaned Mari refuses to succumb to the terrors surrounding her. Inheriting her family’s Tantu Totem, Mari can access the powers of animals-anything from the super-strength of a gorilla to the speed of a cheetah. As Vixen, she fights valiantly to protect the world from threats like those that claimed her family.
And the voice cast should please fans of CW’s current stock of DC Comics-fare with Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen/Arrow), Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash), Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak) and Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon) all set to guest star during the course of the season.
This of course comes ahead of the DC Comics panel at San Diego Comic Con which will feature a first-look at Vixen before it premiers this Fall on CWSeed. Get panel information here.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
