John “On The Spot”: We add a few honorable mentions to IGN’s Best Alternate Realities List

IGN.com just did a list of TV’s best alternate realities and I figured I should answer back. Sure they mentioned Futurama and Family Guy but what about these?

If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself. Below are 5 episodes of shows that I think should’ve been on IGN’s list:

5) Community : Abed’s Uncontrollable Christmas

I don’t watch Community but when I heard about this I had to catch it. Here’s hoping this becomes a yearly thing…

 

4) Family Guy:  Laugh It Up, Fuzzball: The Family Guy Trilogy

I’ve always hated Star Wars. It just didn’t make sense to me but this trilogy was so awesome that I didn’t need to know anything about the popular movie series to enjoy a defining moment in TV.
3) Simpsons: Land of Chocolate

This is more of a dream than an alternate reality but fuck you, I want to live in a land of chocolate!

2) South Park: Let the Game Commence

It’s Kyle in Tron…’nuff said

1) South Park : Imagination Land

The Emmy award winning 3 part story of when the boys take a balloon ride into an alternate reality where they get to meet their imagination heroes like Cinderella(not the band), Bigfoot, and Optimus Prime. Shit hits the fan when Butters gets left behind on the journey home just as the evil characters invade like Jason Vorhees, Predator, and a Minotaur.
