Our Take

Picking up from the previous episode, we now witness with the aftermath of Elymas and Ruche’s recent adventures rather than delivering another action-heavy outing. Their newfound success brings plenty of attention, while Cline’s attempt to reconcile with Ruche provides some satisfying comedy. The episode also continues developing the partnership between Elymas and Ruche, with their growing trust in one another becoming one of the more enjoyable aspects of the series.

The rest of the proceedings revolve largely around their rewards and a lengthy negotiation involving a particular item Elymas has been after for quite some time. While the episode is noticeably light on action, the banter and bargaining make these slower moments surprisingly entertaining, especially when Ruche ends up being more useful than expected. The episode also introduces some darker developments in the background that hint at what may be coming next.

Overall, this was a considerably more enjoyable episode thanks to its improved pacing and near-total lack of the excessive recaps and recycled footage that have plagued the series. Even without much action, Elymas and Ruche remain a fun duo to follow, and Ruche continues to become more likable as her confidence grows. It may not be the most eventful episode, but it does a good job of moving things forward while setting the stage for what comes next.
