Review: Axe Cop ”Heads Will Roll”

Spoilers Below

After Axe Cop destroys an ice gorilla, he gets arrested by the normal cops for the shittiest reason ever. That said, Axe Cop loves prison because he gets to constantly chop off the heads of bad guys pretty much every day of the weak. The warden loves his new tenant because all of the chopped heads end up in the warden’s garden where they are planted and grown into new bad guys so as to auction them off and make money. Flute Cop breaks into the warden’s garden and gets captured but is able to send out a signal before he’s captured. Turns out the warden uses Flute Cop’s blood to give his bad guys that little extra kick which comes in handy as Axe Cop shows up. The bad guys turn on the bad guy bosses and the warden’s head gets chopped!

Our Take

The only thing I didn’t like about this week’s episode of Axe Cop is that I kinda wanted the warden to live because he was so God Damn evil but like Hannibal Lecter evil. He goes home with classical music and makes himself dinner and all the while you know something’s a little off and then WHAM it hits you. The reason why this is so exciting is because despite the fact that Axe Cop has some of the best animated-action sequences on TV, the show’s writing is very underrated of which it shouldn’t be any longer. Here’s hoping a full episode of Viking Cop with big gorillas are on the way, too.
