English Dub Review: Kill Blue “How About a “The Impossible Aftermath of an Impossible Game”

Overview

Juzo races to Noren’s side. Meanwhile, Tenma and Eiji clash in an outrageous soccer-vs.-explosive-golf battle. Tenma prepares to end the fight with a move he developed in practice. But at the end of the life-or-death struggle against Kazuma and Eiji, the unconscious Noren awakens, and the first thing she sees is…

Our Take

Picking up from the previous episode, Juzo arrives just as Tenma and Eiji’s confrontation reaches its peak, but a poorly timed remark sends Eiji into a reckless outburst. Tenma ultimately brings the fight to an end with a decisive shot, while the aftermath takes an unexpected turn when Noren awakens under Kazuma’s hypnosis with awkwardly comedic results.

The rest of the proceedings delivers action & comedy in equal measure as the conflict comes to a close, placing greater emphasis on the cast’s evolving relationships. Tenma continues to shine with his level-headed attitude and unexpected maturity, quickly proving himself to be one of the series’ strongest supporting characters. At the same time, Juzo’s newest predicament with Noren creates plenty of amusing moments, while Kazuma’s personal motivations hint that he could play a bigger role in later storylines…

Overall, this episode provides a satisfying wrap-up to the recent story arc, while laying the groundwork for what’s next. Its mix of comedy, heartfelt character interactions, and new dynamics keeps things engaging, ending on an entertaining note that leaves plenty to look forward to without relying on a major cliffhanger. Be sure to stick around after the ending credits, as there’s an extra scene that’s worth watching.
