English Dub Review: The Aristocrat’s Otherworldly Adventure: Serving Gods Who Go Too Far “Debut in the Royal Capital”
Overview:
Cain invents a new board game and he has another audience with the king.
Our Take:
The gods tell Cain that this world lacks entertainment. Cain copies the game of Reversi and goes to get it produced. He runs into his friend Parma and he enlists the help of her uncle’s company to get this game made.
Cain also has an audience with the king. Some other nobles’ kids see him talking to Silk, which makes them jealous. They try to pick a fight with Cain until they find out he’s a baron. Afterwards, Cain agrees to go on dates with both Silk and Telestia. Their fathers still don’t think he treats their daughters properly, but that’s become a running gag at this point.
I could not find anything to get invested in here. The idea of Cain bringing a popular board game from the other world into this one is kind of neat, but we’ll see if that has any significance. The child of a noble who opposed Cain’s promotion appearing is nice continuity, but he’s a very bland character.
As for the established characters, I still don’t really like any of them. Silk and Telestia are still annoying, as is Cain’s sister. They’re usually not together in this episode, but they still take up a huge chunk of it individually. I also don’t think the running gag of Cain being a womanizer is all that funny. Maybe it’s just because the character himself doesn’t click with me.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
