BoJack Horseman News: Union Forms As Netflix Touts Upcoming Emmy Push
Lots of BoJack news.
BoJack Horseman is almost to the level of say a Family Guy in terms of popularity and notoriety (and there’s even a class!), so it’s no surprise that both the network and producers of the show want to ensure the series’ survival for years to come. On the Netflix side of things, the world’s largest streaming platform has announced that they plan to go big in June on promoting series like BoJack Horseman and Big Mouth with both live events and even a print publication, both of which are expected to feature behind-the-scenes insight into the makings of the streamers’ two most talked about shows.
On the union side of things, the show’s production unit has announced intentions to unionize so that they can get the same benefits as the voice actors and producers of BoJack Horseman. Production crew from BoJack Horseman have called for solidarity from other unions to help recognize their new formation and you can help get behind the cause here.
BoJack Horseman has been picked up for a sixth season, and for those that don’t know, Will Arnett voices BoJack, the failed legendary 90’s sitcom star from the favorite family sitcom Horsin’ Around, who has been trying to find his way through a muddle of self-loathing, whiskey and failed relationships. Now, in the presence of his human sidekick Todd (Aaron Paul) and his feline agent and ex-paramour Princess Carolyn (Amy Sedaris), BoJack is primed for his comeback…

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
