Our Take

Picking up from the previous episode, Re:ZERO finally feels like it’s charging toward the arc’s climax. The episode does a great job bringing the characters back together while setting up the remaining conflicts, with plenty of emotional moments along the way. After the slower stretch, it was nice to see the story regain some momentum and remind us why this arc has been so compelling.

The biggest highlight is easily the Julius fight, which gives him a fantastic opportunity to shine. His determination and commitment to his ideals make the confrontation feel like more than just another flashy battle. Anastasia also gets some great character moments, while the animation deserves plenty of praise. Vincent Chansard once again delivers some spectacular work, with fluid choreography and several genuinely impressive sequences.

Overall, this was a strong episode that finally feels like the story is moving toward its endgame. The character moments, emotional payoff, and outstanding animation all come together nicely, even if a few visual inconsistencies keep it from being completely flawless. With the season nearing its conclusion, Re is clearly picking up steam at exactly the right time.
