Picking up from the previous episode, Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun puts Sabro Sabnock in the spotlight as we learn more about his family, his strained relationship with his father, and his connection to his uncle Baal. When Iruma asks Sabro for guidance as a potential Demon King, Sabro shares Derkila’s biography and the story of the “Pincushion War,” where the former Demon King ended a conflict by putting himself in harm’s way to prevent further casualties. The conversation gives both of them something to reflect on, while Sabro is also forced to confront some unresolved issues from his past.

What makes Sabro so compelling is how much his understanding of strength has matured. He admires previous Demon Kings not simply because they were powerful, but because they maintained order and prevented unnecessary conflict. For Sabro, genuine strength comes from staying level-headed, protecting others, and standing by your principles. Even Iruma recognizes the leadership qualities Sabro possesses, and their honest conversation as both friends and rivals is another great example of the series’ surprisingly heartfelt approach to male friendship. It also throws in an unexpected twist involving Baal near the end, bringing back some elements that feel like a callback to Season 2 and adding another layer to what initially seemed like a straightforward Sabro-focused story.

Overall, this was a great episode that shows just how far Sabro has come since his introduction. What initially seemed like a straightforward musclehead has developed into one of the more principled and honorable members of the Misfit Class, and I really appreciate that the series takes the time to highlight his genuine integrity. With only one episode left in Season 4, the story is clearly beginning to set the stage for what comes next, while still giving Sabro some much-needed time in the spotlight. If nothing else, Sabro continues to prove that being strong isn’t just about having power; it’s about having the conviction to use it the right way.
